32BJ Statement on Positive COVID-19 milestone in New York

The following statement can be attributed to SEIU 32BJ President Kyle Bragg:

Our 85,000 New York members, essential workers who have put their lives on the line to keep our communities going throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, are gratified by the Governor’s announcement that we have reached a key milestone, with 70% of adults in the state having received at least one vaccine against this deadly disease. Throughout this difficult period, our Governor’s leadership in keeping New Yorkers safe made a big difference in the lives of our members and their families, and we appreciate his recognition of our members and of other first responders as vital to getting us through to the other side. We look forward to continuing to work with the Governor and others to restore New York’s vibrancy and strength.
