Union of Janitors, Security officers and Airport Service Workers Endorse Ward 3 Candidate, Matt Frumin

Washington, D.C. –32BJ SEIU today announced their endorsement of D.C. Ward 3 candidate, Matt Frumin on behalf of the nation’s largest property services workers union, which includes over 21,000 contracted airport service workers, janitors and security officers in the D.C. area.

“Matt Frumin will make it a top priority to ensure low-wage workers benefit from COVID assistance, working to fill in the gaps left by federal programs to ensure essential immigrant workers are covered,” said Jaime Contreras, Executive Vice President of 32BJ SEIU. “He will work to guarantee every District resident, regardless of immigration employment or insurance status can reliably and conveniently access accurate rapid and PCR COVID tests, expand the city’s public testing program and make high quality masks available throughout all eight wards.”

 

With more than 175,000 members in 12 states, including over 20,000 in the D.C. Area and Baltimore, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
