32BJ’s Statement on Tedesco’s Victory in Bergen County

This statement can be attributed to Kevin Brown New Jersey Director of 32BJ SEIU:

“The hardworking members of 32BJ SEIU in New Jersey congratulate Jim Tedesco on his victory. As a union man and a progressive Jim Tedesco will work tirelessly to improve the quality of life of working families in Bergen.” said Brown.

“Tonight is a tremendous victory for thousands of workers who will never again have to choose between their paycheck and their health or the health of their family,” said Kevin Brown, State Director of 32BJ SEIU. “By extending the right to earn sick time to Trenton and Montclair, the campaign for health equality is gaining momentum in our state. Lawmakers in Trenton and around the state should take notice.”

With more than 145,000 members in 11 states and Washington DC, including 10,000 members in New Jersey, 32BJ is the largest property service workers union in the country.
