The following statement on the Jet Fuel Tax should be attributed to Kevin Brown, 32BJ SEIU Vice President:
“Today we have the opportunity to make airlines pay their fair share in fuel taxes, just as motorists do, and right a historic wrong. By closing the jet tax loophole, we can bring in much needed revenue for airport upgrades—a burden that now falls on taxpayers,” said Kevin Brown, 32BJ SEIU Vice President and NJ State Director. “Airlines have been making record profits, too often, on the backs of contracted workers who have for far too long been relegated to a life of poverty. As we continue fighting for decent wages for contracted workers, we should also make sure airlines pay their fair share in jet fuel taxes.”
