32BJ SEIU on Voter Suppression in Georgia

The following statement is attributable to Kyle Bragg, President of 32BJ SEIU, the largest property service workers union in the country, representing a majority Black and immigrant workforce:

“As a majority of Americans unite behind the fight for racial justice, rampant voter suppression is turning back the clocks and dragging our nation back to the dark, pre-Civil Rights era. Republicans are following Trump into the bunker today in Georgia.

By suppressing the vote, Republicans are subverting Democracy by silencing the voices of millions of Americans. The hideous and shameful practice has absolutely no place in America and we must do everything in our power to prevent this cancer from growing on a national scale in November.”

With over 175,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
