32BJ SEIU ENDORSES PAUL VALLONE

NEW YORK—The executive board of 32BJ SEIU has voted to endorse Paul Vallone who is running for City Council in the 19th district in northeast Queens. Vallone brings with him a commitment to working families in his community.

“The men and women of 32BJ are proud to endorse Paul Vallone for City Council,” said Hector Figueroa, president of 32BJ SEIU. “Paul’s years of service to his community shows that he understands the aspirations and struggles of working families in northeast Queens, and we are confident that he will continue to fight for them as a member of the Council.”

Vallone’s involvement in many community organization has improved the lives of the residents in northeast Queens. He is repeatedly shown his committed to increasing job opportunities, improving local schools and maintaining middle-income housing in his district.

32BJ SEIU has 75,000 members in New York, and a total of 145,000 members in 11 states plus the District of Columbia. The union is in the midst of an extensive voter education drive, with canvasses and street events street as well as phone banks, mailings and community outreach.

 

With more than 145,000 members, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service union in the country.
