32BJ SEIU on Trump’s Affordable Care Act Sabotage

The following statement can be attributed to Héctor Figueroa, President of 32BJ SEIU:

“By sabotaging the Affordable Care Act, President Trump is doing the exact opposite of what his voters elected him to do. Voters want a stronger health care system with more consumer protections and more stable premiums. Trump’s executive order will undermine the health insurance market, causing millions to lose their health care, thousands to lose their jobs and premiums to skyrocket for everyone.

“Even Republicans, like those in Iowa, are unhappy with this administration’s back-handed dealings to undermine the Affordable Care Act. Trump’s sabotage underscores that—more than ever—we need a universal health care system that provides comprehensive coverage for all.”

With 163,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
