32BJ Members Endorse Candidates in NYC & NY State Races

NEW YORK—32BJ members today announced their endorsements for candidates in upcoming City Council and State races. Union members are focused on electing progressive city and state candidates this year to fight back against the anti-worker and anti-immigrant policies of the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress.

“It is more important than ever to have local leaders who will stand up for working people. Our city and our state must focus on protecting the most vulnerable among us,” said 32BJ President Hector Figueroa. “These candidates have a history of standing up for working people, immigrant rights, good public education, affordable housing, criminal justice, police reform and other issues that are important to our members and their families. That’s why our members decided to endorse them.”

These latest endorsements come after members previously announced their endorsements in other Council and citywide races earlier this year: https://buildingworkers.org/press-releases/32bj-endorses-slate-of-progressive-leaders-for-re-election-in-nyc-races/
