Wilmington, DE – 32BJ SEIU announced today its endorsement of Lisa Blunt Rochester, Democratic candidate for United States Congress. The union represents nearly 10,000 Delaware Valley property service workers including 700 in Delaware.
Gabe Morgan, 32BJ SEIU, Vice President PA and DE made the following statement:
“We need a champion in Washington, DC who will look out for the hard working men and women who are often left behind. Lisa Blunt Rochester is an experienced leader and her background proves her dedication to the residents of Delaware. She is going to bring that same acumen to our nation’s capital to fight so people across this country can lead better and more productive lives.
Across our union, we are supporting progressive candidates like Blunt Rochester who have a longstanding commitment to labor and working families. She understands our issues: immigration reform, women’s rights, full time jobs and benefits, and the fight for $15.”
