Largest property service union on the east coast makes public its support of candidates who have been consistent champions on issues of economic, racial, and immigrant justice
HARTFORD, CT — 32BJ SEIU has officially announced its endorsement of several candidates across Connecticut ahead of election day next month. The slate of endorsements covers races occurring in 22 municipalities for a variety of posts such as boards, city councils, and mayoral elections.
Election Day is on Tuesday, November 4, this year. Early voting in Connecticut begins today and goes through November 2.
“More than ever, we need leaders whose values and actions align with those of our union and all workers across Connecticut. As the federal administration continues its targeted attacks on immigrants, education, and healthcare, we need leaders at the forefront, standing up for the most vulnerable amongst us,” said Rochelle Palache, Vice President and State Director of 32BJ SEIU, “These candidates have demonstrated an unwavering support for Connecticut’s residents. We’re confident they will do all that’s possible to meet them where they are and ensure an accessible, fair, and just Connecticut where we can all thrive.”
