Grievance Representative

New Jersey – Bilingual English/Spanish

We currently have an opening for a bilingual Grievance Representative (GR) to join our New Jersey District office in Newark.  The GR meets daily with members presenting workplace issues or grievances, answering contract questions and representing each member through a resolution process.  The GR may meet with employer representatives, union field representatives, union attorneys and other staff to investigate workplace issues, resolve grievances directly with the employer, or develop cases for arbitration.

District Coordinator

Rhode Island/Massachusetts

The District Coordinator is a management position based in Providence, RI and supports the Field/District Director in the development and implementation of the District’s strategic plans.  Key Program Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: furthering the Union’s Member Leadership Program; supervision of Field Representatives; developing and directing Bargaining Contract Campaigns, Organizing, Political, and Legislative Campaigns.

32BJ’s Research Department plays a vital role in the Union’s organizing campaigns by conducting corporate research, developing, and implementing strategies and tactics to advance campaign goals. The work includes tracking real estate trends and key industry players, performing industry, company and individual research. 32BJ seeks a dynamic, thoughtful professional to lead the research team.

Policy Legal Fellow

New York, NY

The Policy Department has an opening for a Policy Legal Fellow starting in August or September 2020.  This is a full-time, one to two-year position based in Local 32BJ’s New York City office, with a competitive salary and full benefits.  The Policy Legal Fellow responsibilities include legislative and policy drafting, legal research, other policy-related research, and development of advocacy materials.

Policy Analyst

The Policy Department seeks a Policy Analyst to support the legislative and issue-based work of the union.  This is a full-time position based in Local 32BJ’s New York City office, with a competitive salary and full benefits.  The Policy Analyst will work primarily on state and local legislative and policy advocacy throughout the 12 states and Washington DC in which Local 32BJ operates.

Data Entry Assistant

New York, NY

The Data Entry Assistant (“DEA”) is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of data in the Organizing database.  The DEA supports the various phases of each Organizing Campaign by entering and extracting data as needed.  S/He must develop sufficient familiarity with and understanding of 32BJ’s Organizing Campaigns in order to partner with coordinators, leads and organizers to support their data use and reporting needs.

The majority of the research would cover Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Organizing Coordinator

Miami, FL

The Organizing Coordinator will be responsible for planning and driving the campaign, supported by the experience and resources of 32BJ.  S/He will coordinate a cross-functional team of staff and member-leaders.  This is a high-level position in our organization.  We are looking for someone with deep organizing experience, including managing a diverse team of Organizers.  A minimum of five years of experience running organizing campaigns is required.

Research Data Assistant

New York, NY – Airports Campaign

We are currently look for an effective and creative Research Data Assistant to join our successful Airports team, and help to create and maintain our database.  The Research Data Assistant will learn and understand the goals of the team, and seek opportunities to collect and communicate data to help achieve those goals.  The position is currently funded for one year.
