WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.The following statement may be attributed to John Santos, Vice-President of 32BJ SEIU..

“We offer our congratulations to candidates endorsed by the members of 32BJ for their victories in the Democratic Primaries in the Hudson Valley: George Latimer for County Executive, Virginia Perez and Chris Johnson for Westchester County Legislators, Tom Roach for Mayor of White Plains, and Corazon Pineda for Yonkers City Council. Last night, voters chose these candidates for their support of policies and laws that protect immigrants and working families. 32BJ members endorsed each of them for their history of standing up for their constituents’ well-being and safety, and now we’ll make sure that they are elected in November.”

With 163,000 members in eleven states and Washington, D.C., including 4,000 in the Hudson Valley, 32BJ SEIU is the largest property service workers union in the country.
