Published: May 7, 2010

The union 32BJ SEIU, which represents 70,000 private-sector workers in New York, endorsed Sen. Eric Schneiderman’s Democratic bid for attorney general.

The group pledged to help the Manhattan Democrat with campaigning and mailings. Schneiderman is seeking the Democratic nomination against Assemblyman Richard Brodsky, former prosecutor Sean Coffey, Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice and former state Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo.

Dinallo, meanwhile, upped his leading total of county Democratic chairmen endorsements to 26 today —announcing five more county endorsements after handily winning the Democratic Rural Conference last weekend.

Attorney General candidate Eric Dinallo today received endorsements from five additional Democratic Committee County Chairs, raising his total number of County Chair endorsements to 26 and building on a network of supporters from across the state. The endorsements follow Dinallo’s success at the Democratic Rural Conference, where he won the straw poll by a margin of more than 2-to-1 over the second place candidate.

Dinallo picked up the endorsements today from the counties of: Cattaraugus, Columbia, Madison, Oneida and Wayne.
