State Controller Thomas DiNapoli is set to be endorsed at this very minute by 32BJ SEIU, the largest private-sector union in New York.
The union is vowing to supply a membership voter outreach program, including mailings and door-to-door canvassing.
“From ensuring the state uses responsible contractors to helping create good family-sustaining jobs, Comptroller Tom DiNapoli has been a champion on issues affecting working people,” said Mike Fishman, President of 32BJ, in a statement. “32BJ will put forth the same tireless effort to help reelect DiNapoli as our next Comptroller.”?
DiNapoli called the endorsement “emboldening."
He is being challenged by Republican Harry Wilson.
