A tentative contract agreement has been reached between the management and building workers of Co-Op City.
RiverBay Corporation and officials from service workers union 32BJ announced an agreement Wednesday to keep 500 maintenance workers on the job for another four years.
It must be ratified by both workers and the RiverBay board.
Full details of the agreement have not been released, but both sides say the deal provides for salary adjustments and health care coverage.
This comes a day after both sides met with a federal mediator in an effort to deal with the dispute.
Workers returned to the job earlier this month after spending 10 days out and leaving garbage to pile up at the nation’s largest housing complex.
The union said workers were locked out, but management termed it a strike.
