Rep. Carolyn Maloney scored the endorsement of 32BJ, the union that represents her East Side constituents’ doormen.

Mike Fishman, the union president, touted Maloney’s vote for health care and funding for capital projects on the East Side. The union also represents other building workers.

While members of the largest union in the city mostly reside outside of Maloney’s Upper East Side Silk Stocking district (and parts of Lower East Side and western Queens), 32BJ can help out with canvassing and passing out campaign literature.

Maloney is likely to face Reshma Saujani, a hedge fund attorney and former Democratic fundraiser, in the September primary.
