A poll shows he is the likely loser in a special election Tuesday, but those who don’t want Hiram Monserrate in office are taking no chances.

Here are two mailers that will be hitting the Queens Senate district—vacated earlier this year when Monserrate was expelled from the chamber—this weekend. The first, funded by SEIU 32BJ, touts Assemblyman Jose Peralta as someone who will “fight to create jobs for the people in our community.”

The second is the latest from Fight Back NY, a PAC formed to pressure senators (like Monserrate) who voted against same-sex marriage. It attacks Monserrate pretty viciously, saying he “has failed to live up to our community standards.”

Both mailers are after the jump
