Ian Levine, known in the Brooklyn real estate community primarily as the son of Robert Levine of RAL Development Services, and one who is involved with his father in the development of One Brooklyn Bridge Park on the waterfront in Brooklyn Heights, has formed The Spandrel Group. This is a new umbrella company that will unite Spandrel Property Services, a boutique property management firm and brokerage he founded in 2000, with two newly launched real estate ventures — Spandrel Marketing Services and Spandrel Staffing Services. Spandrel Staffing Services will provide concierge, doormen, porters and handymen to the residential real estate market, all of whom will be members of SEIU Local 32BJ, which represents over 50,000 building service workers in the city.

Spandrel Marketing Services will provide real estate brokerage, consulting and marketing services, including the leasing, sales and repositioning of retail, commercial, industrial and residential properties. This new group of affiliated companies continues his plan for corporate growth, and synergy is the name of the game, Levine said. “By offering our clients an array of synergistic services under a single umbrella in addition to the same level of quality and integrity that we offer our own developments, we believe that we will be able to secure a larger piece of the market share, continuing our tract of growth and diversification,” he said.
