CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Members of a South Florida college are gathering in a show of support for campus workers who might go on strike Tuesday.
Dozens of students and faculty members from the University of Miami are holding a rally for janitors and landscapers who maintain the campus.
The workers are threatening to walk out if their needs aren't met and that has students concerned. "Contract negotiations are kind of at a stand still, so what workers are out here doing and students are out here doing, are demonstrating their support for the union and support for the workers on campus so that they get a fair and just contract," said Kaplan Ocbe.
The workers are in their final hours of contract negotiations and are demanding more money due to the increased cost of living in Miami.
