32BJ unveiled the second annual Member Art Exhibit at a reception at the union's headquarters on Thursday, June 19, 2008. The exhibit, titled Breaking Through, includes more than 30 pieces of original paintings, drawings, photography, poetry, and other forms of artistic expression by more than twenty artists who are members, officers and staff of the union.
¨With this art exhibit we want to speak to the world and invite them see us beyond our work uniforms. We want to engage people and take away our labels,¨ said Lina MacDonald-Barrios, a 32BJ member and artist.
This exhibit celebrates the diversity of our union and showcases the creativity and talent of the member artists. Artists featured in the exhibit are:

The artists are members of the 32BJ Artistic and Cultural Team, which aims to engage members in the work of the union through cultural activities.
