Property service workers first organized in the Washington D.C. area in the early 1940s, and we were on the front lines in the movement to unionize thousands of commercial janitors and cleaners throughout the U.S. We merged with 32BJ in 2006 and in the last five years helped security officers in Washington, D.C. and office cleaners in Northern Virginia win the fight to join us and raise standards on the job. Today, we are 17,000 strong, with members in D.C., Montgomery Country, Northern Virginia, and Baltimore.
We are powerful because people like you have stepped up to join the fight. We need your help leading contract campaigns, organizing non-union workers, and taking political action.
