Building Better Lives

From the tenants in our buildings who we see every day to our own families who we work hard to support, 100,000 people who live in 500 32BJ residential buildings in the Hudson Valley depend on us to keep their buildings clean and well-maintained.

We know all about Building Better Lives. From the tenants in our buildings who we see every day to our own families who we work hard to support, 100,000 people who live in 500 32BJ residential buildings in the Hudson Valley depend on us to keep their buildings clean and well-maintained. A union contract is a legal document that protects our wages, benefits, and rights on the job. At a time when unions are under attack, we have to stand up and fight to protect our benefits and our rights. We have fought hard over the years to win the wages and benefits we have now. We deserve to move forward so our families can thrive!

Our union contract expires on September 30, and it’s time to stand up and fight to win the contract we deserve. The bargaining committee of 32BJ members will negotiate with our employers. The union’s proposals are based on the results of the bargaining surveys that were filled out by an overwhelming majority of members working in residential buildings. They include:

  • A fair wage increase
  • Maintain our health benefits and continue to provide cost effective quality healthcare
  • Protect our pension
  • Continue training and legal benefits
  • Improve working conditions and paid leave
