“President Obama reminded us today that the majority of Americans want to move forward with a way for 11 million undocumented immigrants to earn citizenship,” said Hector Figueroa, Secretary Treasurer of 32BJ SEIU. “To do this, Republicans need to put politics aside and get on board with the rest of the country to fix our broken immigration system in all aspects and not just harsh, enforcement-only measures.”
“The best way to ensure that every job in this country retains basic rights and protections is to pass a bipartisan comprehensive solution to get undocumented immigrants out from the underground economy, into the system and under the rule of law.”
With more than 120,000 members in eight states, 32BJ is the largest property service workers union in the country.
